What do I do if my PowerTemp temperature sensors seem to be disconnected or offline?
There are several reasons why your temperature sensors might be disconnected. Most of the time, this is because the gateway has lost power.
Note that the temperature and humidity data is pending upload and may still be logging data. However, you team might not be getting alerted of critical issues.
Follow the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve:
- Unplug and replug the white LoRaWAN gateway for the sensors and wait until you see a solid green light.
- If it is intermittent green, intermittent orange, or flashing between orange and green contact PathSpot Support for assistance as the gateway has disconnected from wifi.
- Press the button on the offline temperature sensor for 1-2 seconds until you see a green light
My app says that there is no data found with the probe. Is the desired sensor offline?
It is likely related to poor RSSI strength. Connection issues can be improved with new gateways. Before we install new gateways, let’s troubleshoot the existing gateway.
- Unplug and replug the gateway for the sensors and wait until you see a solid green light.
- Press the button on the offline temperature probe for 1-2 seconds until you see a green light.
- If the probe is still not found, please reach out to the support team by calling or texting us at (718) 550-0040 or by emailing support@pathspottech.com.
What do I do if my temperature task has both a “Read” button and a manual option?
You are expected to take all temperatures using the PathSpot bluetooth probe. If this probe is unavailable for some reason, the manual temperature entry is available for you to enter your temperatures. Your managers prefer that you use the “read” method and will receive an issue report of any manual entry, so please make sure you limit the manual entries to only when necessary.
